You should report the theft of your driving licence to the police immediately.
Your replacement licence should arrive within 1 week if you apply online.
You’ll need your driving licence number if you know it.

 To replace your driving licence you’ll need to:

• be a resident of Great Britain
• not be disqualified from driving for any reason
• pay £20 by MasterCard, Visa, Electron, Maestro or Delta debit or credit card
• have a valid UK passport or other form of identity
• have your National Insurance number if known
• provide addresses where you’ve lived for the last 3 years

You can apply by phone if none of your details have changed. You can’t apply by phone if your licence is damaged, or if it expires in less than 56 days.

If you are applying by post (postal application fee £20)

For a car or motorbike licence, complete form D1 ‘Application for a driving licence’, For a lorry or bus licence, complete form D2 ‘Application for a lorry/bus licence’, available from the DVLA form ordering service or most Post Offices.
You’ll then need to:

• send your application to the address on the form along with the correct fee (also shown on the form)
• include the part of your licence you still have if only 1 part is missing
